Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)
What is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)?
HBOT treatments involve placing you in a chamber, and then increasing the atmospheric pressure. During the treatment your body is immersed in 100% pure oxygen inside a sealed chamber that has been pressurized 1 1/2 to 3 times normal atmospheric pressure. This saturates the tissues with oxygen. Some of the positive effects of HBOT are to promote the growth of new blood vessels, decreases swelling and inflammation, deactivates toxins, can increase the body's ability to fight infections, clears out toxins and metabolic waste products, and improves the rate of healing. This combination of oxygen and pressure delivers oxygen to areas of poor blood flow and results in remarkable benefits that cannot be achieved with any other therapy.
We want you to experience the best!
We offer “state of the art” Sechrist hard shell monoplace chambers dedicated to building of hyperbaric chambers for over 35 years, and are the leading manufac-turer of Hyperbaric Oxygen Chambers and acknowledged in the industry for their quality, safety, and value.
It is acknowledged that monoplace chambers greatly increases:
- Oxygen concentration in all body tissues, even with reduced or blocked blood flow; stimulates the growth of new blood vessels to locations with reduced circulation, improving blood flow to areas with arterial blockage.
- Causes a rebound arterial dilation after HBOT, resulting in an increased blood vessel diameter greater than when therapy began, improving blood flow to compromised organs
- Stimulates an adaptive increase in superoxide dismutase (SOD), one of the body's principal, internally produced antioxidants and free radical scavengers
- Aids the treatment of infection by enhancing white blood cell action and potentiating germ-killing antibiotics.
A hero in the making, seventeen years ago, Dr. Paul G. Harach, discovered that hyperbaric oxygen therapy at 1.5 atmospheres of pressure could repair a chronic traumatic brain injury (TBI). Dr. Harch, director of the Hyperbaric Medicine Fellowship at Louisiana State University’s School of Medicine and an AAHF Member, has used the therapy on over 700 patients, and has taught the technique to hundreds of doctors. HBOT also benefits Autism, ADD & ADHD and other learning disabilities, burn and wound healing, skin grafts, such as diabetic foot wounds. Emergency situations requiring resuscitation, such as cardiac arrest, carbon monoxide poisoning, or near drowning.
Many hours of research and clinical practice has shown that this noninvasive and painless treatment can help those who suffer from various conditions and diseases.
Dr. Harch has used hyperbaric oxygen therapy to treat more than 70 different cerebral disorders, including stroke, dementia, autism and traumatic brain injury.
